Head of School/Department Obligations around Biosafety

A HoS/HoD must:

1. Be aware of all GMO work being undertaken in their School or Department
2. Ensure safe working procedures are understood and enforced
3. Ensure effective practices are in operation to comply with the GeneTechnology Act and Regulations
4. Ensure induction and awareness programs are in place so all personnel and visitors are well informed of their responsibilities
