PhD, Manc. 1966; FRACI; Personal Chair in Chemistry, 1997. Administration: Member of Academic Board and Science Faculty Board, Member of Chair Committees, Promotion Committees and School Renovations staff liaison.
CHM1011 lectures in inorganic p-block chemistry; CHM1011 and CHM1031 laboratory demonstrating. Previously taught:

Synthesis, structural, magnetochemical, ESR, and Mössbauer spectral studies of d-block compounds, molecular-based magnetic materials of d-block and f-block compounds, framework materials (covalent bridges and supramolecular) and spin-crossover compounds of iron and cobalt.
Current research group (2012)
4 Postdoctoral fellows, 2 PhD students, 1 Research assistant. Future PhD students will be jointly with Dr S. R. Batten.
