Stun and amaze your colleagues....
with your ability to work with information more effectively and efficiently, using the fabulous Desktop Dodecahedron (the ‘Dode’)
The Dode introduces you to the 10 principles of Information Management (IM), which you should apply when you create, manage or use information.
So, what can you do with your Dode?
Keep it handy:
- As a reminder of the core philosophy of improved IM practice.
- For future competitions that ask you about the 10 IM principles.
- To remind you of the website where you can get more useful information.
But wait there’s more…
- Leave the top open and turn it into a paper clip holder or a candy container.
- Learn to juggle: borrow your mate’s Dode and practice juggling.
- Play a game with your workmates: throw the dode to your mate and call out a number. They have to name the IM principle that corresponds to that number.
- Place it on your desktop. Stare at it and contemplate 'Life, the Universe and Everything'.
- Gather your mates’ Dodes and build a very tall tower of Dodes. How high can you go?
- Use it like a coin when you need to toss to make a decision. Odd numbers = heads, even numbers = tails.
- Use thread to hang it like a mobile above your desk.
- Use it as a temperature guide. If it has ice on it, the air conditioning needs turning down. If it's wilting, turn the air conditioning up.
Tell us of other things to do with your Dode!
