Access Monash Mentoring offers an exciting opportunity to Monash students who enjoy working with young people and want to make a difference.
Want to guide Year 11 and 12 students whose families have limited experience with university study? Join the Access Monash team in helping secondary students from low socio-economic communities find their post-school pathway. As an Access Monash Mentor, you can do this through one-on-one mentoring, on-campus tours and presentations, in-school programs, Q&A panels and more.
If you’ve got a good academic record, a commitment to giving back to the community and excellent people skills, you could become an Access Monash Mentor. The program runs from March to October. Find out if you’re eligible and apply online. Applications for 2018 close at 5pm on Tuesday 31 October.
If accepted into the program, you might receive a Monash Community Leaders Scholarship with a value of $4000 per year. And you’ll benefit in many other ways. You’ll develop your leadership, public speaking and teamwork skills. You’ll form valuable connections with senior Monash staff, alumni and community leaders. And simply feel good about making a difference.
