Financial information for studying at an international Monash campus (Australia, Malaysia and South Africa)
Financial informationFinancing your trip could be easier than you think. Most students who participate in the intercampus exchange program, except students going from Monash Malaysia to Australia, receive Monash Abroad travel grants from the University (see below). Some are also eligible for a range of other loans, scholarships and grants. Many Monash Australia and South Africa students going to the Sunway campus in Malaysia may be eligible for a special package including free accommodation and airport transfer. If you are not eligible for the special Sunway package, you may still be eligible for the Monash Abroad travel grant. Travel grants are generally paid to students about 4-6 weeks before your overseas study commences, except for students from South Africa going to Australia who will receive their grants soon after their arrival in Australia. Current students on all Monash campuses, including Sunway and South Africa and off-shore and distance education students, are eligible to participate and receive financial assistance. No additional tuition feesYou will not have to pay any additional tuition fees when studying at an overseas Monash campus. You will just pay your normal HECS or Monash tuition fees at your home campus. Living and travel costs are your responsibilityYou will have to pay your overseas travel and living costs. These will vary depending on how long you are away but you will need enough to cover your; airfare, travel insurance, accommodation, food, sightseeing, entertainment and any other further travel plan you have.
