    • Engineering students must complete 48 credit points if they are doing chemical, electrical and computer systems, mechanical or mechatronics engineering or 96 credit points for all other courses - this applies to intercampus exchanges between Australia and Malaysia only and exchanges to all other destinations require 96 credit points

  • selected units that will ensure you are doing a full time load of on-campus units (18 or 24 credit points)

Other factors which are taken into account include:

  • Some faculties may not permit you to undertake overseas study in the final semester of your course - check with your faculty exchange adviser before applying.
  • International students enrolled at Australian campuses must enrol in 24 credit points at the overseas host campus in order to complete their courses in the time specified by their Australian student visas.
  • Monash students at the campuses in Malaysia and South Africa can participate in exchanges to third countries (eg to Sweden or the USA ) provided they meet the eligibility criteria.
  • Monash part time and distance education students can participate in the exchange progam but must study full time on campus while overseas.

The Monash Abroad office selects students to go on the intercampus exchange program.
