Visa:  Exchange students planning to remain in Finland for more than 3 months must obtain a Resident's Permit from the Finnish Consulate-General in Sydney before leaving Australia.  This can take 8-10 weeks.

  First semester:       mid September - mid December
  Second semester:   early January - late May
Full Time Study Load: 30 ECTS per semester (usually 5 courses)
Other: The exchange is with the School of Economics which is one of Finland's top business schools.

Language:  English and Swedish - for historical reasons it does not teach in Finnish

Other:  Hanken is the top business school in Finland.  Although it is primarily a business school it also teaches a wide range of humanities, social science and law disciplines and offers access to units at other Helsinki universities (see below).
