Why study Bachelor of Arts (Global)?

In this course, you don't just study global culture, you experience it. Overseas travel is a compulsory part of the degree. Through your international studies major you'll spend at least one and up to three semesters abroad. You can travel between our international campuses, or to an approved partner university anywhere in the world.

You'll study the history of the 20th century before moving on to the issues of the 21st century. We focus on the effects of globalisation and integration, including the benefits (better and cheaper goods and services, better health, increased tolerance) and the downside (environmental destruction, the resurgence of aggressive nationalism, racism).

We offer this course at our Monash University Malaysia campus. You'll take an international studies major, a minor, one core global research unit and extra units of your choice.

At Monash University Malaysia, you could prepare yourself for reporting on the world stage by studying writing or journalism.

And if opportunities (like jobs, internships or travel) arise, you can also take up to two semesters by off-campus learning.
