Christopher Pun

Christopher Pun

Christopher Pun completed Enhancement subjects in History/Politics in 2007 whilst attending Mazenod College. He is currently studying a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Commerce, at the Monash Clayton campus.

With a deep interest in humanities subjects, Christopher chose to undertake Enhancement Studies in Australian History/Politics as he believed that it would broaden his knowledge and also because he knew it would earn helpful aggregate points towards his ENTER. As he was already impressed with the reputation of Monash, the decision to undertake Enhancement Studies was relatively straightforward.

Creating flexible study options

"One of the most beneficial aspects of this program is that it has allowed me to choose second-year university subjects although I am only in my first year. Not only has this given me a chance to meet a wide variety of students, it also provides the potential to undertake a reduced workload in my later years, which will definitely help in juggling further studies, part time jobs and social life."

Gaining an ENTER increment

"It was great knowing that by doing well in my Enhancement subjects I could potentially earn an increment of 5.5 aggregate points - that proved to be an important figure in my ENTER calculation."

Easing the transition to University

"Enhancement Studies was the perfect way to ease the transition into university as I was already familiar with general expectations of what university life would entail, as well as practical details such as already having an ID card and knowing building locations."

Recognising hard work

"My personal highlight came at the end of the year when I was fortunate enough to be acknowledged as the highest achieving student in Australian History/Politics. It is fantastic that Monash recognises the hard work and effort of its students, and I must admit that I would have been extremely disappointed if I had not made the decision to undertake Enhancement Studies."
