Apply to become an approved Monash care-giver

General information

Monash University welcomes enquiries from prospective care-givers. Acceptance as an approved care-giver is subject to the process outlined below. Please note the university is not always in a position to make new approvals.

Where Monash is required to endorse student accommodation and welfare arrangements, it is a pre-condition that students have entered into an arrangement with a Monash-approved care-giver service. Only in exceptional circumstances can agreement be reached for a referral service to act as the student's care-giver.

If your application to be a recommended Monash care-giver is approved, your status will be reviewed annually.

Application process

Organisations who operate as Care Givers for Under 18 students and who wish to apply as a approved Monash University Care Giver for students under the age of 18 should:

1. Complete the Application to be a Approved Monash Care Giver form (2 pages, pdf 32kb), filling in all details
2. Email (or mail) your completed Application Form to the Manager ESOS and Visa Compliance, Monash University at: Robert.Barrett@adm.monash.edu.au or Student Administration and Systems, Student and Community Services Division, Building 3C, Monash University VIC 3800
3. Monash will respond to your application within 14 working days. If a decision is made to further consider your application, you will be called in for an interview.
