Untitled Document

Thank you for considering Monash University as the best choice for your studies in Australia. To study at Monash, follow these steps.

1. Select a course to study

Use the Monash Course Finder to choose a course that's best for you and your future career.

2. Fill out an application form

There is an application form for undergraduate courses (pdf 99kb) (your first degree) and an application form for postgraduate courses (pdf 111kb) (further qualifications), or you can apply online. You can ask an application adviser for help to complete your application. You could also use an education agent to help you.

3. Submit your application

When you submit your application form, you must send all compulsory documents and pay an application fee.

4. Track your application online

Once you have submitted your application, you can follow the progress of your application on the Monash website.

5. Receive a Monash University offer

Monash University must assess your application. If you meet all entry requirements for your course and your application is successful, you will be sent a full offer package (pdf 222kb). If you do not satisfy all the entry requirements, you may be given a conditional offer to study at Monash. A conditional offer may include English language study or a pathway program.

6. Accept your offer

Once you have received your offer from Monash, you will need to accept your offer and pay for your first semester tuition fees and compulsory health insurance cover.

7. Confirm your enrolment

Monash will then send you a Confirmation of Enrolment package that includes a welcome letter, a Confirmation of Enrolment form and information to help prepare for coming to Australia and studying at Monash.

8. Make visa and travel arrangements

Once you are enrolled, you need to arrange your visa and your travel arrangements. Monash offers free airport reception for new students and can help you find accommodation.

9. Attend Registration, Enrolment and Orientation

You must arrive in time to attend your registration and enrolment or you may not be accepted into your course. Registration is the administrative part of the enrolment process to check that all your details are correct. At Enrolment you obtain advice about your course, unit selection and course structure and then enrol in the units (subjects) you select. Orientation is an important and fun week of information sessions, tours and events for you to make new friends and learn about Monash and your campus.

10. Begin your studies

Monash has many services and facilities to help you learn, participate and socialise. International Student Support offices on each campus can assist you with information and advice about a wide range of issues including settling into life in Australia, your student visa, health care, and finding your way around. Monash can also assist with job and career advice and English language support.
