The Monash University Foundation Year provides a pathway into the first year of your University degree.

Monash College

Monash College offers a suite of pathway programs for international students into Monash University including undergraduate diplomas, the Monash University Foundation Year program and English language courses.

Students may study on-campus at Monash University in Australia or through our partner, Jakarta International College. JIC offers the Monash University Foundation Year program and Monash College Diplomas of Arts and Business.

The Monash University Foundation Year (commonly known as MUFY or Foundation Year) prepares students for entry to first year of all 10 faculties of Monash University and is accepted by all Australian universities. The curriculum has been specifically designed with Monash University academic staff to prepare international students for higher education in Australia.

Monash College Diplomas provide specialised preparation for direct entry to first or second year of specific Monash University professional degrees.

Monash College offers diplomas in Art and Design, Arts, Business and Engineering that lead to specific degrees at Monash.

To study at Monash you will need to meet English language entry requirements

  • Undergraduate entry requirements
    The minimum entry requirement for admission to Monash is a completed High School Certificate and completion of the first year of University study with a GPA of 3.0 out of 4 (some courses require a GPA or 2.75 out of 4) and a minimum of IELTS score of 6.0. Some bachelor degrees require an IELTS of 6.5 or 7.0.
  • Postgraduate entry requirements
    To be admitted to a Masters degree you must have a competed Bachelors degree with a GPA of at least 2.7 out of 4 (pass degree) and some courses require 3.0 out of 4 (credit equivalent). For entry into all Monash postgraduate studies, your Bachelors degree must be from a university with A or B accreditation from Badan Akreditasi National (National Accreditation Body). For entry to most Masters programs, your Bachelors should be in a relevant subject area.
