Age requirements

17 years of age

You must be 17 years of age at the time of enrolment in a course of study, unless:

  • you will be at least 16 years of age at the time of enrolment and have achieved an ENTER of at least 95 in VCE or a rank in another qualification deemed equivalent by the University; or
  • you will be at least 16 years of age at the time of enrolment and have not achieved an ENTER of at least 95 or a rank in another qualification deemed equivalent by the University BUT have the approval of the dean of the faculty; or
  • you are not yet 16 years of age BUT, have achieved an ENTER of at least 95 or a rank in another qualification deemed equivalent by the University AND have the approval of the dean of the faculty.

Deferred place for students under 17 years of age

If you do not meet the age requirement but would otherwise have been offered a place, you will be offered a deferred place. You may take up the offer of a deferred place when you meet the age requirement. Some exceptions apply. Contact the relevant faculty for more information.
