Creative Careers Seminar for Secondary Students
Are you a Year 10 or 11 student thinking about a career in art, design or architecture?
Monash University Museum of Art. This inspirational seminar is a unique opportunity to meet exemplary art, design and architecture professionals, find out about their careers and see current projects. Each speaker will talk about educational pathways and work opportunities for students considering a creative career once they finish school.

Faculty of Education

The Faculty of Education offer a range of non-award Professional Development programs that are specifically designed for teachers, school leaders and support staff.  The programs are delivered by a team of experienced education specialists, faculty staff and external consultants and we work closely with schools and government bodies to ensure that our teaching stays up-to-date with the most recent developments in the sector. Dean's Lecture Series
The Dean's lecture series links the broader community with thought leaders and internationally renowned experts from the Faculty of Education. Each lecture, presented by a leading academic from the Faculty of Education, will discuss key issues in the Education community. The following lectures are free and open to the public. Faculty of Information Technology

The Faculty of Information Technology works closely with schools and government bodies in Victoria to introduce new kinds of IT curriculum. The flagship of these activities is the creation of the VCE study "Algorithmics", the first study in a new schema called Higher Education Scored Studies that gives secondary students early access to tertiary contents. A range of professional development opportunities are conducted in this context for educators who are teaching or planning to teach this unit. Computer Games Boot Camp (CGBC)
The Computer Games Boot Camp (CGBC) is a hands-on event of the Faculty of Information Technology. The event promotes how fun and exciting Information Technology is and communicates the plethora of opportunities in the field. Students will find out how computer games impact our lives in unexpected ways, hear from industry speakers about topics such as the future of gaming and will have the opportunity to participate in four hands-on workshops on Maya, Unity and graphic design. On the last day attendees will have the opportunity to win prizes at the IT Competition. And of course there will be networking opportunities, tournaments and afternoon activities, such as a movie screening.

Faculty of Law

Monash Law Faculty's inaugural Secondary School Mooting Competition is a specially designed mooting competition for year 11 and 12 students. For many years, Monash Law Faculty students have excelled in mooting competitions both in Australia and Internationally. The event is open only to Victorian secondary school students in years 11 and 12. Schools can enter a maximum of three teams, with each team comprising of three members (senior counsel, junior counsel and assistant).
