Services and Support for Doctoral and Mphil students

Monash Research Graduate School

The Monash Research Graduate School oversees all parts of the university concerned with higher degrees by research and postgraduate research scholarships, grants and awards.

The school provides administration and support to all persons participating in postgraduate research, including research masters and doctoral students, research supervisors, and faculty and university research training committees and offices.

Monash Research Graduate Centre

The centre plays a vital role in the lives of a growing number of research postgraduates at Monash University. It is intended further support postgraduate research students and not to replace the involvement students have with their departments and faculties. The centre provides registered users with a range of facilities and services which include:

  • 24-hour-a-day access
  • A computer labs with 11 PCs and a printer, wireless internet access, a scanner and a photocopier
  • A lounge, two kitchens, and a meeting room each provide a social and practical focus for centre users
  • Office space for research graduate students. Different levels of support can be provided depending on what stage students are at in their research
  • In-house IT Support.

Monash Postgraduate Association

The Monash Postgraduate Association (MPA) serves the interests and welfare of all postgraduate students by directing its activities towards their specific needs, offering representation, information, and advocacy. The MPA organises seminars, workshops and social functions to encourage communication with and between postgraduate students in the different disciplines.
