Mental Health Royal Commission

In 2020, the Monash Sustainable Development Institute supported the Victorian Government Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health System to explore how a system transformation could be operationalised to meet the needs of people living with mental illness, and of their families and carers. The team undertook a range of research and engagement activities – including an evidence and practice review, dialogues and workshops, and engagement with key stakeholders – to help the Commission identify system-wide issues, and to outline new approaches to mental health services.
