Early arrivals cannot normally be accommodated (unless you seek prior approval), so the earliest date that you will be able to collect your keys will be your contract start date.
If you have made travel arrangements to arrive after the contract start date, we require you to provide us with your expected arrival date and time. If we receive no notification form you, we may assume that you are not arriving and your room could be offered to another resident. Please note that even if you do not arrive until after the contract start date, you will still be liable for the rent on your room from your contract start date.
Can I transfer to a studio apartment after I move in?
Unfortunately not. The high demand for studio apartments means that there is often a very large waiting list for available rooms.
If you have applied for, and been offered a room in the residential village, you will be expected to move into that room. Transfers will only be considered once the waiting list of applicants for the studio apartments has been processed.
How do I pay my rent? When will I receive my first invoice? When will my deposit be returned?
Residents receive monthly rent invoices during the first week of each month. Your invoice will be for the rental charges for that same month, and you will have until the last day of that month to pay.
Your rental deposit (which you paid to accept your offer of accommodation) will be credited back to you along with your March (or a future) rental invoice and it will offset some of your that months rent costs.
I am arriving after hours. How can I collect my keys if the office is not open?
Easy! You will have several options:
Contact us at email@example.com and we will send you the after hours arrival instructions;
Update your arrival details on the arrival form link and our friendly team will send you the after hours arrival instructions by email;
Update your arrival details using the link in your Welcome letter
All 3 options will result in your arrival details being updated, and our team will ensure that our overnight security team are prepared for your arrival. Please use the 24 hour clock format to ensure we have the correct time of your arrival
When you live on campus at MRS, one of the many benefits of residency includes an on campus car parking space.
Residents are required to provide the office with proof of ownership of the vehicle and they will be issued with a valid parking permit, residents must only park in the designated parking bays to ensure that they do not receive an infringement notice from the parking inspectors. These permits must be displayed inside your vehicle.
Please refer to the attached campus map for more details.
