It is the University’s expectation that only those who are well and not presenting with COVID-19 symptoms attend a Monash campus or location. View our latest updates.
Monash University has moved to a Virtual Parking Permit system. Each MRS resident is entitled to only one (1) Residential parking permit a year.
Residents must submit an online application through the Monash University Parking Permit system. You must provide proof of ownership of the vehicle when you apply.
Permit holders can only park in specified MRS Permit Restricted Parking Areas.
For those arriving at the Clayton Urban Community, there is limited ½ hour parking available in the C12 car park to assist you with checking in and unloading your luggage.
For those arriving at the Peninsula campus, short term parking is available in the C1 car park to assist you with checking in.
Please leave your luggage in your vehicle and we will provide you with a short term parking option close to your residence upon check in.
In order to ensure that our teams are prepared for your arrival, it is important that you provide us with your most recent expected arrival date via the MRS Resident Portal.
Early arrivals cannot normally be accommodated (unless you seek prior approval), so the earliest date that you will be able to collect your keys will be your contract start date.
If you have made travel arrangements to arrive after the contract start date, we require you to provide us with your expected arrival date and time. If we receive no notification from you, we may assume that you are not arriving and your room could be offered to another resident. Please note that if you arrive after the contract start date, you will still be liable for the rent on your room from your contract start date.
I am arriving after hours. How can I collect my keys if the office is not open?
Yes! Please advise us of your expected arrival date and time so that we can assist you further.
Please update your arrival details on the MRS Resident Portal and our friendly team will send you the after hours arrival instructions by email.
Both options will result in your arrival details being updated, and our team will ensure that our overnight security team are prepared for your arrival. Please use the 24 hour clock format to ensure we have the correct time of your arrival.
Melbourne Tullamarine Airport is approximately one hour from the Monash Clayton Campus, and approximately one and a half (1.5) hours from the Monash Peninsula Campus depending on the time of day you are travelling.
