A home away from home
We’re building a residential complex for Monash Peninsula campus students, featuring 150 modern residential spaces to be ready for occupation in 2019.
The planned residences will provide Monash students with a home away from home, providing a range of modern, high quality residential spaces that are unique to Monash Peninsula; enabling students from around the world to connect, belong, and collaborate in a welcoming and supported environment.
Pedestrian and Vehicle access
To improve safety during construction, we will be closing the main road between MPARC and the S2 car park to pedestrians due to multiple trucks accessing the site. For pedestrians, we are creating a new gravel path, a pedestrian crossing and building a ramp over existing stairs for DDA access.
According to the current schedule, the noisy works will be from mid-February to July. These works will be piling, steelwork and laying concrete slabs. No noisy works are scheduled during swot vac and exams.
Most of the S2 car park will be closed from 2 February 2018 for construction of the Peninsula Student Accommodation building. There will be more parking added to the W1 car park and the permit areas for each car park will be adjusted as required. The net change for permit parking spaces will be around 60 spaces from 2 February. As per previous years, it is likely that there will be a waiting list for blue permit holders in the first few weeks of Semester once 2018 permits go on sale.
