Diversity and Inclusion dinner

Monash Residential Services (MRS) hosts a number of Academic Dinners throughout the year that give their residents the opportunity to contribute to conversations on current, real-world, issues.

On May 20, 2019, MRS welcomed Rhiannon Tracey and Asher Cameron to speak about their experiences in 'Breaking Barriers, Building Inclusion'. The speakers generated positive discussion about how Monash University students can be leaders in ensuring their future career paths foster diverse and inclusive spaces.

The residents continued the discussion after the official presentations with questions on how they can all contribute to study and workplaces that are welcoming to everyone.

Asher Cameron is the Inclusive Communities Officer for Monash University and has been delivering training in the LGBTIQ space for 6 years.

Rhiannon Tracey has used her personal experiences to create positive outcomes for others living with spinal cord injuries*.
