Earth Hour
The inspiration for this movement comes from a lights – off event in Sydney, Australia, in 2007. Since then, Earth Hour has become a world wide movement organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) that is supported annually by individuals, communities, households and businesses to around the world.
MRS took this opportunity not only to commemorate but to also celebrate 10 years of progress by being part of this event on the 25th of March 2017 by encouraging all residents living on campus to turn off all their lights and electronic appliances.
The hour between 8:30 - 9:30 PM encouraged residents to gather, play games, play their music instruments and most importantly show their support by each hall forming different alphabets and numbers in the most creative way they can.
The response and love received for this event was exceptional!
Our residents definitely know how to make hay even when the sun doesn't shine!
