Campbell Deputy College Head - WillWilliam Lower - College Head, Campbell Hall

William grew up in rural Taranaki, New Zealand. He later pursued studies in business and restorative justice in Wellington, where he discovered a passion for student support and community development. William contributed to his university community in many capacities, and especially enjoyed working with teams to foster cultures of inclusiveness and learning. He enjoys nothing more than seeing students find a sense of belonging in their community.

William also has a keen interest in design and software development, and works on software projects in his spare time. Travel is another of William's passions — he enjoys learning languages and experiencing new cultures; he likes to get outdoors and explore whenever he can. Melbourne is one of William's favourite cities, and he is thrilled to be a part of the Campbell Hall team and contributing to student life at Monash.


Amy DempseyAmy Dempsey - Deputy College Head, Campbell Hall

Amy was born and raised in the small town of Ararat in Western Victoria. She spent most of her time doing gymnastics; whether that was at the gym or simply cartwheeling around the house. Gymnastics has played a significant role in Amy's life, having participated in the sport since she was five and spending five years coaching gymnastics before moving to Melbourne. In 2015 Amy moved to Melbourne to study Primary Education and Arts at Monash University. Amy is majoring in psychology, but hopes to be a primary teacher after completing her degree.

Amy lived at Richardson Hall as both a resident and Resident Advisor before joining the Campbell Hall community as the Residential Support Assistant last year. Amy is looking forward to continuing to foster a proud and diverse community at Monash Residential Services as the Deputy College Head.


Christine Ng - Residential Support Assistant, Campbell Hall

Christine (pronouns: she/her/hers) is a foodie who studies Law, in that order. She was born and raised in Singapore, and moved to Melbourne in 2014 to pursue her studies, which she will be completing in 2019.

Christine's love of food was piqued by her travels and experiences of different cultures and cuisine.

Having had an enriching experience at MRS as both a resident and Resident Advisor at Jackomos in 2017 and 2018, Christine strives to cultivate an inclusive and warm environment for residents to call home.


Lucy Anderson - Resident Advisor, Campbell Hall

Lucy was born in Melbourne and lived there until the age of twelve. She spent her high school years in Mildura; where she enjoyed English and Literature and gained an interest in Sociology. In 2017, Lucy moved back to Melbourne to begin her Bachelor of Primary and Secondary Education at Monash University. You can often find Lucy watching TV shows that she has already seen, eating gnocchi or dumplings and talking about her animals. Lucy will be contributing to the Diversity and Inclusion portfolio this year and is excited to create inclusive events for the hall in 2019, ensuring that all residents have events that connect with them.


Caitlin Beer - Resident Advisor, Campbell Hall

Caitlin grew up in a small country town in North East Victoria by the name of Corryong. In 2017 she moved to Melbourne and Campbell Hall, where she has resided ever since! Currently, Caitlin is in her third year of studying a Bachelor of Primary and Secondary Inclusive Education. She has a strong passion for all things sport related and creating positive social change with leadership. Overall, Caitlin loves eating sweet foods and talking about sports and anything education related. She is a returning RA for 2019 and loves living on Res because it feels just like home.


Minjun (MJ) Kang - Resident Advisor, Campbell Hall

MJ was born in Korea and immigrated to the Gold Coast when he was just five years old. Since the age of seven, he has dreamt of becoming a scientist and is currently on the path to becoming a researcher in Immunology. His hobbies include playing the cello; a pastime that he has enjoyed for fourteen years! During his senior years of high school, MJ took part in public speaking, debating and was an active member of the school tennis team. MJ is very excited to plan and organise significant events for Campbell in 2019 and hopes that all the residents enjoy the Campbell community just as much as he does.


Georgia Niutta - Resident Advisor, Campbell Hall

Georgia moved to Melbourne from Mildura to study at Monash University in order to pursue higher education. In her third year of studying a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Politics and a Masters in Public Policy, Georgia has a passion for national and international affairs. In her spare time, Georgia enjoys reading books, listening to music and avoiding team sports. Georgia wants to be able to continue to contribute to the inclusive and positive environment in her third year of residence as a Residential Advisor. Working alongside her fellow student leaders and Residential Support Team, Georgia hopes to create a memorable and exciting year for both new and returning residents alike.


Eleanor Whelan-Mills - Resident Advisor, Campbell Hall

Despite being originally from Melbourne, Eleanor spent the majority of her childhood in Central Victoria. She graduated secondary school in 2016 and took a gap year to work and travel. She returned to Melbourne in 2018 to pursue a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in International Relations. Eleanor has a passion for politics, women’s right and health and fitness. As a member of the Events and Cultures Portfolio team for 2019, Eleanor cannot wait to build off of the successes of the 2018 RA team. Eleanor is enthusiastic about her new role at Campbell hall and cannot wait to contribute to community life here.


Avishka Wickramarachchi - Resident Advisor, Campbell Hall

Avishka was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Before moving to Melbourne in 2017 to pursue studies in Engineering he also spent time living in Dubai. His varied upbringing allowed him to interact with a mix of cultures, and gave him many opportunities to work with people of diverse backgrounds. Avishka loves cricket, reading a good book, travelling and is passionate about Maths, Physics and Astronomy. He is also obsessed with music and plays the guitar often. He hopes to make sure residents at Campbell Hall have an incredible year by devoting himself to his RA position and making the Campbell community a vibrant and wonderful atmosphere to live in.


Yasmin Williams - Resident Advisor, Campbell Hall

Born and raised in the Victorian country town of Mildura, Yasmin spent most of her childhood in dance studios and began teaching dance at the age of 16. Dance is a huge part of her life; when she’s not dancing, Yasmin may be seen reading a book, baking or spending time in the sun with friends along the Murray River. She took a gap year after secondary school and moved to Melbourne in 2018 to study a Bachelor of Primary and Secondary Education. Yasmin can’t wait start her role as an RA in Campbell Hall and welcome all the new residents moving into this wonderful community.


Mingyang (Aaron) Yuan - Resident Advisor, Campbell Hall

Aaron was born and raised in Taiyuan, a city in North China. After finishing high school in China, he decided to do his foundation year of study in Auckland, New Zealand. Currently, he is in his fourth year of a Mechanical Engineering and Commerce double-degree at Monash University. Aaron was in the 2018 Campbell Hall Orientation Team and worked hard to welcome new residents as well as make them feel at home. This year, he is looking forward to applying his experience of different backgrounds in the Diversity & Inclusion portfolio to maintain a supportive atmosphere at Campbell Hall.
