Reunion checklist

One year before:

  • Get in touch with the Alumni Relations team
  • Compile a guest list
  • Think about where, when and how
  • Send out initial correspondence with expression of interest

Nine months before:

  • Decide on a date
  • Book your venue
  • Book your catering and entertainment (if required)

Six months before:

Three months before:

  • Monitor your responses and send out a reminder if needed

One month before:

  • Confirm details with the venue including final numbers and any special dietary or access requirements
  • Send an email to those who are attending confirming all the details
  • Make lists (and name badges if required) of all those attending for the registration desk – include maiden names if possible.

Day of the event:

  • Record details of attendees
  • Hand out name badges - it might help people recognise each other!
  • Bring a comments book – encourage those attending to collate their memories
  • Take lots of photographs
  • Canvass people to see if they want to do it again
  • Enjoy yourself!

After the event:

  • Reflect on all your hard work
  • Complete an event report form including a list of those who attended and photos from the event
  • Send thank you letters or emails to those who helped you make the event such a success
