Ms Nicole Iseppi
Ms Nicole Iseppi is a senior executive and industry adviser for the global sustainable generation. She is a passionate problem solver and a strong supporter and advocate of promoting innovation and industry collaboration, for acceleration of sustainable development.
Born and raised in Melbourne, Ms Iseppi has had the pleasure to work internationally for nearly the last two decades. She has been working with ENGIE since the beginning of 2010 and there, she is a Senior Executive Adviser and also Managing Director of Global Operations and Performance. Currently overseeing ENGIE’s 12 Global Corporate Departments, consisting of 600+ people, including departments such as Group Strategy, Asset Operational Performance, Business Development Oversight, ENGIE Research and Innovation and Group Risk. ENGIE is a global leading energy company acting to accelerate the transition towards a carbon-neutral world, through reduced energy consumption and more environmentally-friendly solutions.
Ms Iseppi has substantial experience in the strategic formulation, business development, financing and operational phases of energy and infrastructure projects, within Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa, Latin America and European regions for the past 20+ years.
Ms Iseppi has had the rare opportunity to be the first female foreigner directly employed as an in-house adviser to Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) – one of the world’s largest project finance lenders. At JBIC, she acted as a senior adviser and project manager for global infrastructure investments and was also appointed as lead adviser to establish and implement, on behalf of the Japanese Ministry of Finance – a new green financial institution called “Japan Carbon Finance”. Ms Iseppi has also been appointed (2016 to 2020) by the International Renewable Energy Agency to co-lead the design and implementation of one of their leading global renewable programs and was appointed Project Director and a member of the Management Committee for Terrawatt Initiative (a global non-profit climate change foundation, created out of the COP21 Paris Agreement).
She has been appointed to various industry advisory committees and has had the honor of also being awarded various global energy and finance awards by her industry peers, for her in-depth energy industry knowledge, commercial acumen and international stakeholder management skills. Including most recently, named in the list of (i) International Energy & Natural Resource Adviser of the Year (Global List – 2020); (ii) Renewable Energy Professional of the Year 2020 (Corporate Innovation & Excellence Global Awards); (iii) Most Influential Leader in Energy Infrastructure Advisory Services 2020; (iv) Europe Senior Executive Adviser of the Year 2020; and (v) Top Global Transformational Women Leaders 2020.
Ms Iseppi has a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws from Monash University.
