Mr Peter Inge OAM
Peter Inge is the Joint Managing Director of The Zig Inge Group which, before the sale of the business, was one of Australia’s largest and longest running retirement village businesses.
The Zig Inge Group is now a multi-faceted investment and operational business focusing on the development and acquisition of a diverse portfolio of property assets and business investments including the Flinders Hotel, the Rivoli Cinema, the Flying Duck Hotel, Dineamic Foods and the Prospect Hill Retirement Village.
Peter is a senior consultant with Perry Maddocks Trollope Lawyers having practiced law for over 30 years and a Principal of Claremont Migration, a migration advisory business specialising in employer sponsored visas and pro bono refugee protection visas. While he now spends much of his time pursuing both his family business and philanthropic interests, he maintains his interest in the law by advising on complex family law and immigration/refugee matters.
Peter holds a Bachelor of Economics (majoring in accounting), a Bachelor of Laws and Master of Laws (Human Rights), from Monash University. In addition to his qualification as a lawyer, Peter is a Licensed Estate Agent and a Registered Migration Agent.
Peter has a strong link to the retirement living/aged care industries through a variety of consultancies including Regis Aged Care, Macquarie Bank and several privately owned retirement living/aged care businesses. He has been awarded life membership of the Retirement Living Division of the Property Council of Australia.
He is involved in a variety of philanthropic pursuits through his role as a Director of the Zig Inge Foundation and as a Director of the Property Industry Foundation (PIF). He is the current Chairman of the PIF Victoria Board of Advisors.
In June 2016 Peter was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia (General Division) for service to the community, to charitable organisations and to aged care.
