Mr Eric Gao
With more than 15 years’ professional experience in investment, wealth management and fintech, Eric specialises in economic analysis, portfolio and funds management. He holds an Australian Financial Service Licence (AFSL) for managed funds, securities, FX and derivatives.
In 2010, Eric founded BMYG, a wealth and investment management company for Australia and China that specialises in alternative assets, particularly in fintech and the digital economy. BMYG’s subsidiary, Allfin.com, is the leading Chinese financial portal in Australia.
Before establishing of BMYG, he was the China desk manager at fintech company Easy Market, and became the global top sales and MVP in 2009.
Eric has a bachelor’s degree in economics and finance from RMIT, and a Master of Applied Finance from Monash. He also received certificates from Oxford and MIT for fintech and blockchain.
In 2017, he was team captain of Australia for the Chinese TV program Who's Still Standing?, a global universities competition. He was named as a Top 10 Outstanding Chinese-Australian Youth in the Golden Wattle Awards in 2018, which is supported by the Australia-China Parliamentary Friendship Group and awarded to Australian citizens or permanent residents aged under 40 who have Chinese heritage.
Eric is highly regarded as an opinion leader and expert in Australia-Chinese investment relationships.
