Ms Angela Ferguson
Ange is passionate about the ability of great software to change the world. The choices she’s made throughout her career have been guided by her desire to create a diverse organisational culture to enable those changes to happen in a positive and inclusive way.
She completed a Bachelor of Computing at Monash, a degree that was instrumental in opening the door to a varied and exciting career.
With a foundation built in consulting, program and change management, Ange’s 20-plus-year career has seen her gain experience in locations such as Australia, the US, the UK, the Netherlands, India, Singapore, Thailand and China, as well as in a wide range of industries and organisations.
This diversity of experience has resulted in a strategic leader and a seasoned, globally-minded executive who can lead complex change.
Ange first stepped into executive leadership in 2013 when she took on the role of ThoughtWorks’ managing director for Australia. In 2015, she stepped up to oversee the APAC region (including China, Southeast Asia and Australia) as group managing director.
She currently divides her time between Melbourne and London as a member of the senior executive team at ThoughtWorks, a global software consultancy, where she has two main roles. As Group MD for Digital Transformation, she’s accountable for the integration of the digital transformation capability across the global business, and as Director for Strategic Investment, focuses on driving alignment and execution of strategic, game-changing initiatives throughout the organisation.
Ange also sits on the advisory board for Hitnet, which brings health-related information and services to some of the hardest-to-reach people in the world, while seeking to support vibrant, healthy and digitally capable communities, engaged in the digital economy.
