Mr Edward John (Ted) Whitten Junior is currently the Chief Executive Officer and Trustee of the E. J. Whitten Foundation having been appointed to a full-time CEO role in 2006. Prior to his official appointment Mr Whitten spent 10 years in a part time capacity heading up the Foundation and raising its profile to make it the success that it is today.
Mr Whitten brings a wealth of experience having worked for multiple organisations in senior management, sales and public relations giving him the broad skill set that is required to lead a successful not-for-profit charity.
Mr Whitten has made a significant contribution to the research of prostate cancer and men’s health awareness, with the Foundation raising over 8.5 million dollars whilst under his watchful eye and with countless men attributing Mr Whitten and the Foundation’s work for the early, life-saving detection of their prostate cancer.
Mr Whitten is very passionate about the Foundation’s future and ongoing success; he is committed to represent the Foundation and uphold its strong awareness messages connecting with Foundation supporters and the broader Australian community.
