Ms Susan Williams

Sue Williams has more than 25 years’ experience in the healthcare industry at senior management level in both the public and private sectors, and is chief of health operations at Cabrini Health.

She began her career in healthcare as an 18-year-old trainee nurse at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and, after initial ward training, gained her critical care certificate.

With a clear intention to take on leadership positions in healthcare, she enrolled at Monash and excelled in completing a Bachelor of Business Management degree. In 1999, she gained her MBA, also at Monash. More recently, she’s completed the advanced management program at Harvard University, and the Australian Institute of Company Directors course.

She’s had a diverse career, icluding roles as director of nursing at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, chief operating officer of 44 hospitals at Healthscope, and network chief executive officer at Peninsula Health. She also holds a number of board positions.
