More than 2400 students from 10 faculties will graduate in the second of our Graduation Week celebrations for 2014.
Monash has moved to a new Commencement Week format for its Australian graduation ceremonies. October graduation week from 20-24 October will take on a Spring Racing theme to create a sense of celebration and community around the occasion.
During the week Monash will also announce the 10 faculty winners of this year’s Distinguished Alumni Awards as well as the overall Distinguished Alumni of the Year. A number of Honorary Doctorate and Fellow recipients will also be announced.
Our October graduates will hear from a range of inspirational speakers including Mr Rick Sawers, Enterprise Executive of the National Australia Bank; Professor Gerard Vaughan AM , art historian, museum administrator and former Director of the National Gallery of Victoria; and Ms Louise Johnson, Chief Executive Officer of the Victorian Assisted Reproduction Treatment Authority.
In addition to formal ceremonial photography, graduates can have their photos taken for free at a special social media enabled photo booth in the Campus Centre after their ceremonies. These photos are able to be shared on social media and via email.
