Welcome to the May issue of the GPS Newsletter

On April 6, we welcomed Dr. Cynthia Miller-Idriss (American University) for her webinar, 'Hate in the Homeland and Youth Radicalisation' discussing her research into violent extremism and how young people are radicalised in a range of environments. You can find the event recording here.


Gender Agenda International

On April 22, the first Gender Agenda International (GAI) and Monash PhD Scholar exchanges was held, hosted by GAI CEOs Jane Townsley, former President of the International Association of Women Police, and Lieutenant General, Dr Leah Mofomme, former Deputy National Commissioner of the South African Police Service. PhD candidates, Natasha Ragahuvanshi and Steven Pulle presented their research to a GAI-appointed panel of practitioners and subject matter experts in the field of gender, security and conflict, including Professor Doraval Govender, Advocate Alice Fookes, and Barrister Mokshda.
