Eleanor Gordon is Senior Lecturer in Politics and International Development in the School of Social Sciences. She has worked for over 20 years in the peacebuilding and broader international development sector, specializing in security and justice issues. This experience includes many years with the UN and other organisations in post-conflict environments in the Balkans and South Asia. Her research and practice focus on building security and justice after conflict, inclusive approaches to peacebuilding, and the gender dynamics of Security Sector Reform. She is an Associate Editor for Stability: International Journal of Security and Development, a Senior Fellow of the Centre for Security Governance, a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK), and, until recently, a Trustee of Saferworld, a Deployable Civilian Expert with the UK Government's Stabilisation Unit, and a consultant on conflict-related security and justice matters for various UN agencies and other international organisations.
