Our PhD (Music) with the Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music and Performance supports research excellence spanning early music styles to improvisation and real-time machine music.

Fees & scholarships
The Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) exempts domestic students from tuition fees for the normal duration of the course - up to four years for candidates in a doctoral program and up to two years for a research master’s degree.
An extensive scholarship program is available to both local and international students enrolled in research degrees as provided by the Monash Graduate Research Office. The Faculty of Arts also supports candidates with generous scholarships and grants. Find out more.
