At Monash you can learn Italian as a foreign language from introductory to advanced. We offer a unique undergraduate program that incorporates language acquisition and cultural competence. The core units of our major have been mapped against the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, allowing students to track their progression against international benchmarks.

In Italian students can achieve a level of C1 (Proficient User – effective operational proficiency level) through an integrated curriculum. Monash also has a campus in Prato, Tuscany, and offers students the possibility to undertake courses and exchanges in Italy. This program prepares students for Honours and postgraduate studies.
