Languages Week

Languages Week

This September, Monash Arts invites you to a series of events celebrating languages and multilingualism. These events will showcase the innovative language programs at Monash, as well as our courses in linguistics, translation and interpreting, and intercultural communication. Join a translation workshop, write a poem in German, learn the Korean alphabet, try your luck at some French tongue twisters, watch Spanish and Japanese movies, or join us for an Indonesian lunch or an Italian online cooking class. Explore how you can integrate languages into your Monash degree and discover a new world.

Program of events

All events are FREE and open to everyone. You do not need to be learning any of the languages in order to attend any of the events.

Monash Arts Languages Week is supported and organised by the School of Languages, Literatures, Cultures and Linguistics. Korean events are co-organised by Monash University Korean Studies Research Hub and supported by the AKS Core Universities grant. Select events are co-organised by Korean Appreciation Student Association (KASA), Monash Italian Club (special thanks to Miss Lara Partridge), Spanish and Latin American Club, and Monash French Society.
