Program details

This contemporary unit is designed to focus on key issues arising in the global tourism industry such as the rapid growth of the industry in emerging economies, poverty alleviation and development through tourism and the growth of “new tourism” and independent travel. The unit is presented via a number of key industry seminars and a proposed field work study tour to an emerging tourism region such as Fiji (South Pacific), Vietnam (S.E Asia) or Estonia (Eastern Europe).


Deposit:$200 deposit is due at time of application
Total Program fee:$700

All program fees are paid to Reho Study tours (Our Travel Service Provider). Payment process outlined in the MAP application portal.

*Please note that the deposit is non-refundable except in the case that your application is not successful.

Included in the program fee:

  • Accommodation
  • Transport
  • Some meals

Not included in the program fee:

  • International flights to Nadi (Fiji)
  • Visas (if required)
  • Spending money
  • Tuition fees. Monash students will be charged fees according to their funding status.
