MFJ Graduates win key Radio Today Awards
Media, Film and Journalism (MFJ) graduate and News Corp producer Andrea Thiis-Evensen has won two awards in the Radio Today Awards for Podcast Series Producer of the Year and Podcast Audio Producer of the Year.
Journalism graduate and PodcastOne Australia Lindsey Green was awarded the Best Australian Podcast - 'Come out wherever you are'.
Andrea, a former Monash international student from Norway, said she was shocked to win the two major awards.
“I’m feeling so grateful for the recognition, and I'm so proud of the other winners such as my wonderful colleague Shannon Hollis, and all the nominees,” Andrea said.
“I won Podcast Series Producer of the year for my work with two of my favourite people, Stephen Drill and Lillian Saleh, and Podcast Audio Producer of the year for my other work across Newscast.”
In 2020, Andrea was named a Walkley finalist for Student Journalist of the Year.
Her journalism included ‘It was the worst day of our lives’: Bereaved parents say we must talk about youth suicide, Melbourne women claim they are being targeted by fake rideshare drivers and Monash student reaching for the stars to save the planet.
