Podcast: Seeing Green
Check out the new podcast, SEEING GREEN, produced as part of the Australian Research Council Discovery Grant project ‘Australian Environments on Screen’.
SEEING GREEN reviews Australian film classics through the lens of contemporary environmental concerns, evoking new interpretations that recast Australian national cinema for present day audiences. Each episode features a dialogue between a film
expert and a professional in ecology or sustainability.
Season Two highlights so far include a discussion on 2011 documentary The Hungry Tide with filmmaker Tom Zubrycki and climate change advocate and media producer Linda Uan.
Season One took a look at Wake in Fright (1971), the Mad Max series (1979. – 2015),
and Rogue (2007).
