The Migration and Mobility Research Network (MMRN), a research network nestled at the Monash Migration and Inclusion Centre, conducted an ‘Ideation Workshop’ in Monash College on 18 August 2023. The event brought together scholars from across Melbourne institutions who are interested in or currently working on migration and mobility. More than 30 attendees participated in the workshop.
Group activities were designed to encourage collaboration on migration scholarship in Australia and to generate visions for the research network. The workshop enabled the co-convenors Dr Sylvia Ang and Dr Earvin Cabalquinto to capture a range of recommendations for MMRN, including its prospects as a collaborative space for scholars, postgraduate students and industry partners.
