Monash Academy Orchestra delivers digital performance

Undeterred by the challenges of social distancing, the Monash Academy Orchestra - composed of School of Music students and musicians from across campus - committed to perfecting and filming three works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Richard Strauss and Stuart Greenbaum over the course of Semester 2.

To produce these recordings, students were given the opportunity to work closely with Benjamin Northey (Chief Conductor of the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra and the Principal Conductor in Residence of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra), Flinders String Quartet, and the Principal wind, brass, and percussion players of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
