Monash Arts receives accolades at 2020 AFR Higher Education Awards
GIG was recognised for its success in transforming transnational student mobility through providing Monash Arts undergraduate students with global experiences necessary to lead responses to our most pressing global issues and strengthen Australia’s regional engagement.
GIG was also applauded for its partnership model advances and capacity to scale student mobility, strengthen our international networks, and deliver on a commitment to accessible and ethical international education.
Wunungu Awara: Animating Indigenous Knowledge was named as a finalist in the Community Engagement category. This project, coordinated by the Monash Indigenous Studies Centre, uses the latest 3D animation technology to make Indigenous stories and languages come to life. In doing so, it records the past, preserves the present, and protects Indigenous languages and knowledge into the future.
Wunungu Awara has also been shortlisted as a finalist in the upcoming Engagement Australia Excellence Awards.
