Call for Papers

CALL FOR PAPERS – VOLUME 21

Eras is an online journal edited and produced by postgraduate students from the School of Philosophical, Historical and International Studies at Monash University. As a fully refereed journal, Eras is intended as an international forum for postgraduate, honours, and early career researchers.

We are currently seeking articles and book reviews from current or recently completed (within the last 2 years) postgraduate or honours students working in any of the following fields: Ancient Cultures, Bioethics, History, Human Rights, International Studies, Jewish Civilisation, Philosophy, Religious Studies, Medieval and Renaissance Studies.

Papers are also strongly encouraged from students in other disciplines, such as Anthropology, Cultural Studies, Economics, Gender Studies, Indigenous Studies, Literature, Politics, and Sociology, provided that such manuscripts are interdisciplinary in nature and relevant to the journal’s primary fields of interest.

We are no longer accepting papers for our upcoming Volume 21, which is anticipated to be published in November 2019. We do accept submissions year-round, however, and papers that are submitted by May 2020 will stand the best chance of inclusion in Volume 22, which is anticipated to be published in the second half of 2020. Papers of 6,000 to 8,000 words (excluding footnotes and bibliography) and a 250-word abstract should be sent to:
