History Honours student Sarah Arber granted a Special Award in the Graduate Women Victoria Scholarship Program

Congratulations to History Honours student Sarah Arber, who has been granted a Special Award in the Graduate Women Victoria Scholarship Program (https://gradwomenvic.org.au/scholarships/) to support her studies, under the supervision of Prof. Carolyn James.
Sarah's research explores the connection between narratives and iconography associated with Genesis and the Garden of Eden, and English witch trials during the sixteenth century. Using Edenic imagery as a tool to probe the links between witchcraft accusations and gendered practices, her thesis interrogates how the witch craze impacted women's communal roles and health in early modern England.
