Each year The Australian publishes a special report on the state of research in Australia. The report identifies research field leaders, based on the highest numbers of citations from papers published in the last five years in the top 20 journals in their field.
Agnieszka Sobocinska has been crowned Australia's 'research field leader' in history. This is wonderful recognition of Agnieszka's field-shaping research on post-war international history and her pioneering work on the 'humanitarian-development complex'. Her book, Saving the World? Western Volunteers and the Rise of the Humanitarian-Development Complex is forthcoming with Cambridge University Press next year.
