The Customer Director is a pivotal leadership role in the University’s Buildings & Property Division (BPD). As a Deputy to the Executive Director, the role will be crucial in delivering on the BPD customer-centric agenda and in shifting the culture of the Division.
This is a senior leadership role, with the Campus Development Director, the Campus Experience and Services Director and Health, Safety and Wellbeing Director reporting to it. The Customer portfolio will therefore lead the end-to-end development and operation of our campuses, through Master planning, capital planning and development, strategic and operational asset management, ongoing operational management and health, safety and wellbeing programs and sustainability and environmental initiatives.
This role will require a comprehensive understanding of the business of the University and each of our customer segments, and will oversee a proactive approach to embedding customer needs into our everyday planning, decision making, priority setting and resource allocation across the Division. Key to success in this role will be to lead the shift in culture within the Division by establishing new processes that places the customer at the centre of everything that we do, enabling the Division to appropriately balance the technical needs with those of the customer.
