CHE PhD Candidate, Angela Jackson, was part of an all-female panel, at the National Press Club of Australia on 27 March 2019, representing the Women in Economics Network discussing her perspective on the 2019-20 Federal Budget which was televised on the ABC.

Associate Professor Nicole Black featured on a Channel 9 Nine News story, 7 August 2018, ‘Childhood obesity costing taxpayers $43m every year’, relating to The Senate Select Committee report into the Obesity Epidemic in Australia, in which Nicole gave evidence at the public hearing in Melbourne, as part of the iHEA special interest group on obesity.
A number of the recommendations from the report where picked up in several media outlets including the Sydney Morning Herald, as well reported in the Monash Business School’s IMPACT article on ‘Weighing up the costs of childhood’ and the Monash University News article‘Childhood obesity grows annual health bill’.
