This intensive unit is designed to provide you with an opportunity to investigate and gain valuable insights into opportunities and challenges faced by business in regional Victoria. The program will take us to the Gippsland and East Gippsland regions of Victoria, where we will examine a broad range of social, cultural, legal and political issues that can impact on the strategy and operations of sustainable businesses operating in the region. A particular focus will be alternative business models which have developed to address the impacts of bushfires and the Pandemic on businesses in the region.

In this unit you will develop a range of skills including critical analysis of global and local issues and how they affect regional businesses, effective teamwork and personal reflection.

Who should consider this unit?

The program has been designed for undergraduate and postgraduate students of Monash Business School. This unit may form the capstone requirements of the students undergraduate program - please consult your course advisor.
