If you are enrolled in a degree or non-award programs at Monash University, the Faculty of Business and Economics offers a range of units on an elective basis. For some units, we assume that you possess a level of competency across a range of mathematical concepts prior to enrolment.
The handbook entry for these units will specify the level of maths required for this purpose. You should review the information below to self-assess your maths background.
This level would also be satisfied by completion of International Baccalaureate units: Mathematics SL, Mathematics HL, Further Mathematics HL, or, Monash units such as ECC1550 Introduction to quantitative skills for social sciences (recommended if you are intending to study commerce/business related units), or MTH1010 Functions and their applications.
If you discontinue a unit after certain dates it can affect your fees and academic record. The following teaching period has non-standard discontinuation dates. Please note the dates below for the ‘withdrawn late' and census dates.
