We also offer our new graduate students the opportunity to participate in a selection of short optional workshops during orientation week.
This Strategies for Academic Success workshop series is streamed into three categories aiming to offer something for everyone
- Academic skills development, including library workshops
- Personal development
- Career development
The workshops are voluntary and although they do not offer any credit towards your field of study, they provide you the chance to help you develop good study habits, meet other new graduate students in an informal setting, and begin to create your own networks - all essential elements in giving you a head start with your graduate studies.
Our graduate workshop program runs from Wednesday 21 February to Friday 23 February. Most of the workshops are offered at Caulfield campus on Wednesday 21 February and Thursday 22 February.
For Master of Banking and Finance and Master of Actuarial Studies students we also have workshops at Clayton campus on Friday 23 February. You must attend the compulsory workshop Kicking off your academic studies, and attend any of the optional workshops.
We also have a webinar option Why developing your employability skills matters in the evening on Thursday 22 February.
Attendance is optional - you select the workshops that best suit your needs and availability. You will be able to download the Caulfield workshop timetable or Clayton workshop timetable, make your selection and register online for the Orientation workshops for new graduate students in the Monash Business School Student booking system in your my.monash portal. Select Orientation and Transition for New Monash Business School students and select your campus. Registration for the workshops will open in early January.
