BEX3722 / BEX5722 - Engaging with International Business, India

This unit may count as a capstone or an elective unit in your undergraduate or postgraduate degree

Engaging with International Business: India (BEX3722/BEX5722) provides students with an opportunity to examine and better understand a broad range of economic, social, legal and political issues that impact on doing business in India. Besides exploring some of the key issues/debates in India and their effect on business operations, the unit will also provide students with an insight into Indian society and investigate the strength, challenges and future of the India-Australia relationship.

The unit is a two-week international experience in India, created and run in collaboration between the Monash Business School and OP Jindal Global University. Based in India’s capital New Delhi the unit will entail seminars, company and organisational visits, where students will hear first-hand accounts from a range of industry guest speakers, experiential learning activities, cultural activities and visits.

BEX3722/BEX5722 is an intensive 6 credit point elective unit taught over two weeks and is offered at both the under-graduate and postgraduate levels. The unit is administered and run by Associate Professor Paul Kalfadellis from the Monash Business School in conjunction with colleagues from O.P. Jindal Global University (India). The unit gives students the opportunity to progress their degree and also gives them the possibility to extend their time in India at the end of the unit during the summer semester break.
